The project explored how individuals cope with fear and trauma after a natural disaster, presenting a unique and uplifting perspective on rebuilding confidence and hope.
The documentary was centered in Pokhara, where an experimental approach used bungee jumping as a symbolic and practical way to confront fear. Participants shared their emotions before and after the jump, offering powerful insights into how facing extreme experiences can help reduce psychological impact and restore a sense of control. The film blended human stories with experiential storytelling, creating a compelling narrative of recovery.
For this production, Chandan Jha and Kathmandu Films handled end-to-end execution, working across roles including Producer, Line Producer, and Fixer. The team managed casting, coordination with Pokhara bungee operators, filming permits, scripting, production, and post-production including editing. One of the team members also participated in the jump, adding authenticity and depth to the story.
This project stands as a meaningful example of Kathmandu Films’ ability to deliver emotionally driven, socially relevant content, combining creative storytelling with full-service production capabilities in Nepal.
