**CNBC – Micro Hydropower Project (2016) | Kathmandu Films**

In 2016, Kathmandu Films collaborated with CNBC on a micro hydropower documentary project in Nepal, focusing on sustainable energy solutions in remote regions. The project highlighted how small-scale hydropower initiatives contribute to rural electrification, local development, and improved living conditions in off-grid communities.

Filming took place in challenging and isolated locations with limited infrastructure, requiring extensive planning and adaptability. The team navigated unsafe roads, difficult terrain, and logistical constraints, including unreliable GPS systems and restricted access routes. Transporting crew and equipment to remote areas demanded precise coordination and problem-solving under pressure.

Chandan Jha and Kathmandu Films worked as Line Producer and Fixer, providing a complete production solution including location scouting, equipment handling, transportation, permits, logistics, and full on-ground execution. The project relied heavily on local knowledge and field experience to overcome operational challenges and maintain production efficiency.

Despite the demanding conditions, the team successfully delivered high-quality results. CNBC highly appreciated the research depth, filming quality, and the team’s ability to manage complex situations effectively.

This project highlights Kathmandu Films’ strength in handling technically demanding shoots in remote environments, delivering reliable production services with resilience, expertise, and strong field execution in Nepal.
