Adopted in Nepal: He Finds Traces of His Past – YADEBAT is a deeply personal documentary following Jocelin, an adoptee who returns to Nepal to reconnect with his roots. Accompanied by Mélissa, the film explores identity, memory, and belonging through an intimate and emotional journey of self-discovery. Through powerful storytelling and real-life encounters, the documentary captures the complexities of tracing one’s past and rebuilding connections with heritage.

For this production, Chandan Jha and Kathmandu Films worked as Line Producer and Fixer in Nepal, managing all aspects of local production including filming permits, crew coordination, logistics, location access, and complete on-ground support. With a sensitive approach to storytelling and strong local expertise, the team ensured a seamless and respectful production process.
