One of our more controversial investigative projects, Kathmandu Films worked closely with HBO for the Undercover Investigation of Aarushi Talwar Murder Case.We helped HBO with the filming and fixing of this documentary. The project was carried out in Nepal with an ideal crew, advanced equipment, detailed investigation and identification of the criminal.

The investigation revolved around a young girl, soon-to-turn 14, who was found dead in her bedroom. Her throat was slit and her head crushed. Nepali worker at her house Hemraj Banjade was seen as prime suspect, but he was found dead on the terrace with similar conditions as well. The parents were then considered to be the main Suspect. This was a difficult investigation carried out by us as people were not ready to talk about it due to emotions and the dangers that came with it. A relatively open case, we had to work cautiously when handling this case, approaching the investigation from all angles. Fortunately, our investigation and hard work was worth it as we our research became a great asset in the identification of the criminal.
