We worked with Zero30 Media for the production of a commercial video on ‘Children wearing glasses in Nepal’.
Read MoreThis project with ITV focused on exposing the harsh realities of reckless driving in Nepal, highlighting how dangerous road conditions and risky driving behavior can lead to life-threatening consequences. Designed as an awareness-driven documentary, the film aimed to educate viewers and encourage safer driving practices, ultimately contributing to saving lives.
Set against Nepal’s challenging road infrastructure, the project explored narrow highways, sharp turns, landslide-prone routes, and flood-affected areas. It also examined the human factor, including limited driver training and high-risk decision-making, which together create a dangerous environment on some of the country’s most difficult roads.
For this production, Chandan Jha and Kathmandu Films worked as Line Producer and Fixer in Nepal, providing complete filming solutions including location scouting, permits, logistics, crew coordination, and on-ground execution. The project required careful handling, as many drivers were initially reluctant to participate. The team applied strong communication and negotiation skills to build trust and ensure smooth filming.
This experience demonstrated Kathmandu Films’ ability to operate beyond standard production roles, balancing filmmaking with real-world coordination and mediation. The project stands as an important example of impactful storytelling, addressing critical safety issues through responsible and well-managed production.
